The Brooklyn Nets have won three games in a row, defeating the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, 117-108. The total of 225 in Wednesday’s contest was the first time this season that a Nets game went over the total, Brooklyn is now 1-7 on the over this season.

The Nets go on the road tonight against the Detroit Pistons, the first game of a six-game road trip.

The Pistons are sitting on a three-game losing streak, and will need quite a performance against Brooklyn to end the slide.

The first overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, point guard Cade Cunningham, scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Detroit’s loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. The double-double was a promising display for the rookie that is averaging eight points per game.

Nets vs. Pistons Prediction and Pick

The Detroit Pistons are 30th in the NBA in points per game, field goal percentage, and three-point percentage. This offense is under development, and it’s going to take some time. Cunningham is going to be a good player, and Jerami Grant is a decent player now, it’s just too little to work with at the moment with Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart rounding out the starting five. The other side of the court has Kevin Durant and James Harden

Brooklyn is in the middle of the pack when it comes to pace, and Detroit is near the bottom, so this could be another low-scoring affair for the Nets and their unders.

Brooklyn is currently eighth in the NBA in defensive efficiency and the Pistons are 25th.

I’m backing the Nets tonight, but I’ll be taking that under that appears to be attached to Brooklyn.
