Nets vs. Wizards Prediction and Odds for Friday, November 4 (Fade Brooklyn Until Further Notice)
By Peter Dewey
The Brooklyn Nets and the Kyrie Irving saga have continued all week with Irving unwilling to apologize for sharing an anti-Semitic film on his social media.
Not only that, but the Nets recently fired head coach Steve Nash and suspended Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is the frontrunner to replace him.
Brooklyn will attempt to put all of that aside and focus on basketball on Friday against the Washington Wizards. The Nets are just 2-6 this season after losing to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.
Washington, on the other hand, is fresh off a win against the Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers.
The Wizards have playoff aspirations this season, and one team they could supplant in the standings in Brooklyn. Does Washington get the better of Kevin Durant and company?

Nets vs. Wizards Prediction and Pick
I have no interest in betting on the drama show that is the Brooklyn Nets, especially when the team is favored on the road.
Brooklyn is just 19-43-1 against the spread as a favorite since the start of last season, and it’s struggled out of the gate in the 2022-23 campaign, covering in just one of eight games this season.
Washington is a mediocre team, ranking 16th in the NBA in net rating, but it should be able to take advantage of a Nets defense that is dead last in the NBA this season.
Ben Simmons has already been ruled out for this game, and there’s a chance the team decides to sit Irving as well, even though it has let him play to this point.
With so much uncertainty surrounding the Nets right now, I’ll back the Wizards as home dogs on Friday.
