Things went sideways for Air Force last Friday night, but can they right the ship back at home as a big favorite this Friday?

The Falcons dropped a road game to Wyoming on the road last week as big favorites, 17-14 and find themselves in a similar spot in Week 4 against Nevada, who lost at Iowa last week 27-0.

This is a rebuild Wolf Pack squad under first year head coach Ken Wilson, and will be up against it facing the vaunted Air Force triple option. Can the Falcons cover this massive spread with their methodical offense?

Let's check out the odds and find the best bet for Friday night from FanDuel Sportsbook:

Nevada vs. Air Force Betting Trends

  • Air Force has gone OVER in two of three games this season
  • Nevada hasn't covered in their past two games after doing so in their first two

Nevada vs. Air Force Prediction and Pick

Air Force should dominate this Nevada group that has been properly rated as one of the worst team's in the country.

Nevada has allowed 37 tackles for loss through four games and are averaging about three yards per carry. As well, they are bottom 10 nationally in yards per play at 4.03 and the schedule hasn't featured a murderer's row of competitions: at Iowa last week, FCS foe Incarnate Word, Texas State and at New Mexico State.

Nevada has benefitted from generating 11 turnovers through four games, but with Air Force's methodical triple option that stresses ball security, I expect we see few havoc plays generated for the Wolf Pack defense.

The question with Air Force as a favorite is if they can have enough scoring possessions to win with margin. In this case, I'll say yes. Nevada is transitioning to a new coach and had a whacky game last week that had a lightning delay and resumed after midnight on the East Coast. Now, they travel again to the altitude of Colorado Springs to face a physical triple option attack that is capable of hitting explosive plays with quarterback Haaziq Daniels.

I lean towards the Falcons taking care of business and blowing out Nevada.
