Nevada vs. Kansas State Prediction and Odds for Tuesday, November 22 (Expect Slugfest in the Cayman Islands)
By Josh Yourish
Yesterday, Nevada advanced in the Cayman Islands Classic by beating Tulane, 77-66 and if you backed me then you cashed in on the under in that game. Meanwhile the Kansas State Wildcats breezed past Rhode Island, 77-57. Now, the 5-0 Wolf Pack face off with the 4-0 Wildcats for a spot in the tournament semifinal.
Let’s get right into the odds for this one and I’ll tell you how I’m betting it.
Nevada vs. Kansas State Odds, Spread and Total
Nevada vs. Kansas State Prediction and Pick
K-State has been incredible defensively. The Wildcats are allowing just 55.8 points per game and holding their opponents to 25% shooting from three. Nevada is the best team that they have had to face so far, so it’ll be interesting to see how well that defense holds up. Nevada’s defense might be even better. The Wolf Pack are allowing 56.0 points per game, 31.4% shooting from the field and 24% from three point range.
On offense, Nevada is led by Jarod Lucas who had 22 points last game and is averaging 17.0. The Wolf Pack shot over 40% from three in game one of the tournament, and we typically see those shooting numbers come down a bit with tired legs as the tournaments go longer. I wouldn’t be surprised by a very low-scoring slugfest in this game.
If Keyontae Johnson gets going for Kansas State, they should win, but the best bet is the under.
Pick: Under 138 (-110)
