New Mexico State vs. Kentucky Prediction, Odds, Against Spread, and Over/Under for College Football Week 12
By Matt De Saro
The Kentucky Wildcats and New Mexico State Aggies face off in Week 12 non-conference action at Kroger Field. Just a glance at the opening odds below gives you a good idea of how mismatched this game will be. The Kentucky Wildcats opened as heavy favorites of more than 35-points against the Aggies.
The Aggies have had a terrible year so far and enter this game with a 1-9 record overall after losing six straight. After getting destroyed in Week 6 by Alabama 59-3, the Aggies and their defense haven’t recovered.
Things are going much more smoothly in Kentucky as the Wildcats enter this game with a 7-3 overall record and are coming off a 34-17 win over Vanderbilt. Will Lewis led the passing attack with 177 and two touchdowns while adding six rushes for 32 yards but it was the ground game that led the team. Wan’Dale Robinson was unstoppable and ran for 236 yards and a touchdown against Vandy.

New Mexico State vs. Kentucky Prediction and Pick
Kentucky has put together an impressive season and another blowout win or two is exactly the kind of thing way they want to finish the season. I don’t see much that NMSU can do about it. They looked good against Alabama all those weeks back for about two minutes when they jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Alas, that was all their offense would muster and Bama went on a 59-0 run. The Aggies have no running game to speak of and their passing attack, while potent, is highly inconsistent. I refer back to the three-point game against Bama.
Two intangibles to be aware of leading up to this game. One, it is Senior Day in Kentucky. Two, the Wildcats are still in the running for a 10-win season and bowl game. Best not to think too hard on this one. The Wildcats should have no trouble scoring and the one-dimensional NMSU offense won’t be able to save them.
Pick: Kentucky +37.0 (-110)
