UConn vs. New Mexico State Prediction and Pick

The UConn Huskies should be very scared right now. The Aggies are a strong defensive team and are very efficient from inside the three-point line. If they can get into the teeth of UConn's defense, it will be a long night.

The 5/12 matchup is historically one of the more common upsets we see in March, and bettors should have this game circled as one of those. The Huskies were 13-18-1 during the season, showing they didn't live up to Vegas' expectations a lot of times.

Both teams will be fighting tournament demons on Thursday. UConn hasn't been past the first round of the tournament since 2016. New Mexico State will be looking for its first tournament win since 1993.

With a six-point spread in a classic trap game, I'll take the Aggies against the spread.

Lean: New Mexico State +6 (-110)
