NFC West Division Odds: Can 49ers Go From Worst to First?

The San Francisco 49ers should be the best bet to go straight to the top of the NFC West. Two years ago, the 49ers were 10 minutes away from a Super Bowl title. Then 2020 happened.
The 49ers had the worst luck last year. They get Nick Bosa back in 2021 after he tore his ACL in Week 2 of last season. George Kittle will also be healthy along with Jimmy Garoppolo. San Francisco is going to be healthy again, which should give Kyle Shanahan all the tools he needs to work his schematic magic.

So far in training camp, both quarterbacks are looking good. Regardless of who gets the nod, the weapons surrounding them should make it a plug-and-play situation.
Before San Francisco was ravaged by injuries and COVID, it was 2-0 and looked good. The 49ers have all the pieces needed to be a good football team. This season will be defined by whether they will have said pieces or not.
