We are four weeks into the NFL season, minus tonight's Monday Night Football game, and we've already narrowed down the MVP candidates to four names.

Sure, crazy things could happen and we might see someone else emerge from nowhere and skyrocket up the odds list, but I'd be shocked if the award isn't given to one of the four quarterbacks who have been a cut above the rest through Week 4 of the 2022 season.

Let's take a look at the latest odds, and then let's dive into these names a little bit further.

NFL MVP Odds

Josh Allen NFL MVP Betting Favorite

Through the first four weeks, Josh Allen is set as the betting favorite to win NFL MVP at +300. His lead is far from safe, however.

Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts are the next names on the odds list, and all are within striking distance. There's a big gap after Hurts at +550, with Justin Herbert of the Chargers being the next name down at +1200.

Allen, Mahomes, and Jackson aren't necessarily surprises to be at the top of the list, but Jalen Hurts certainly is to some. He's leading the Eagles' potent offensive unit, and Philadelphia is the final undefeated team in the league at 4-0.

Given the Eagles have the easiest remaining schedule amongst the four teams with an MVP candidate under center, Hurts provides the best value of the bunch at +550 odds.

Joe Burrow Provides Dark Horse MVP Value

If you refuse to bet on any of the obvious four names, or if you just want a longshot to gamble on, consider Joe Burrow at +2500.

The Cincinnati Bengals got off to a nightmare start, but things are starting to turn around for them. They've won two-straight games, and Burrow has been able to limit the turnovers that plagued him early in the year. If he keeps trending in the right direction, and can mimic last year's playoff success, keep an eye out for his odds to get shorter in the coming weeks.

He'll face-off against fellow MVP candidate, Lamar Jackson, in Week 5. The Ravens are currently set as 3-point favorites on Sunday Night Football.
