We're nearing the halfway point of the 2022 NFL season, and somehow, some way, the Atlanta Falcons are in first place in the NFC South?

Sorry Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, I just had to throw that one in for my colleague, Iain MacMillan.

The NFC playoff race is crazy, with the Green Bay Packers and Bucs looking like anything but contenders while the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings just keep on winning.

In the AFC, Buffalo remained the class of the conference on Sunday night while the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins continue to make their presence felt as contenders. Don't worry Kansas City Chiefs fans, you're back in primetime next week, a place Patrick Mahomes thrives in.

Let's get into our Power Rankings for the NFL ahead of Week 9's action:

1. Philadelphia Eagles (+550) Last Week: No. 1

Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown went crazy in Week 8 as the Eagles trounced the Steelers to stay undefeated.

2. Buffalo Bills (+230) LW: No. 2

Josh Allen didn't play his best, and yet the Bills easily handled the Packers on Sunday Night Football.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (+700) LW: No. 3

The Chiefs were on the bye in Week 8.

4. Minnesota Vikings (+1600) LW: No. 4

5. Dallas Cowboys (+1400) LW: No. 6

Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense put up 49 points in a rout of the Bears in Week 8.

6. Baltimore Ravens (+1600) LW: No. 8

7. Tennessee Titans (+4400) LW: No. 9

Tennessee rode Derrick Henry to a win over the Texans in Malik Willis' first start.

8. Miami Dolphins (+3000) LW: No. 12

The Dolphins are now 5-0 in games that Tua Tagovailoa starts and finishes. Tyreek Hill is on pace for over 2,000 yards in this high-powered offense.

9. Seattle Seahawks (+6500) LW: No. 13

Geno Smith and the Seahawks are the surprise of the season, sitting atop the NFC West through eight weeks.

10. Cincinnati Bengals (+2200) LW: No. 5

The Bengals looked lost without Ja'Marr Chase on Monday night, and that could spell trouble over the next few weeks.

11. Los Angeles Chargers (+3100) LW: No. 10

The Chargers were on a bye in Week 8 but drop one spot.

12. San Francisco 49ers (+1300) LW: No. 15

The 49ers once against dominated the Rams, and Christian McCaffrey is going to be a problem to defend down the stretch.

13. New York Giants (+7000) LW: No. 7

Magic ran out on the Giants in Week 8, as they lost to Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Still, this team has overachieved to this point.

14. New England Patriots (+6000) LW: No. 18

Bill Belichick's squad won an ugly game against the Jets and is firmly in the playoff picture in the AFC.

15. Los Angeles Rams (+3400) LW: No. 11

What is up with the Rams? They can't muster anything on offense this season and the defense has taken a step back. The playoffs are far from a sure thing.

Zach Wilson's three picks doomed the Jets on Sunday in a division loss to New England.

Jonathan Taylor's ankle injury is just another blow in what has been a nightmare season in Indy.
