Congratulations to the Houston Texans for making history in their 12-point loss on Thursday Night Football to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.

Once top receiver Brandin Cooks was announced he'd be out, the line moved at several books to Texans +14 at home; making them the biggest dogs in Thursday Night Football history.

And sure enough, they delivered for spread bettors in the clutch.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering why so many of your over bets have been left for dead this year, there's perhaps a sign that the tide is turning.

Unders in 2022 have gone 72-51 so far this season, with primetime games going 15-10-1 to the under. However, two out of three primetime games in Week 8 went over, and during the last two weeks, overs are starting to make a comeback, going 15-15 over the past two weeks including on Thursday Night Football this week.

Let's break down each matchup's most up-to-date odds for NFL Week 9, and take a closer look at some unique betting trends for every team's matchup.

Several of these trends are also discussed in our NFL game previews and picks, which can be found on our NFL Expert Picks and Predictions page.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3 - THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6 - EARLY AFTERNOON SLATE

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Atlanta Falcons Betting Trends and Odds

Chargers:

  • Since the Chargers don't seem to have much of a home field advantage, they've found it on the road this season, going 3-0 ATS away from SoFi Stadium.

Falcons:

  • After starting the season a perfect 6-0 ATS, the Falcons have failed to cover in their last two games.

Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears Betting Trends and Odds

Dolphins:

  • Trending Tua? Miami owns a perfect record when their starting quarterback plays the entire game, and only has one loss ATS.

Bears:

  • The Bears' defense has been rocked in the first half all season. No team has allowed more points in the first half than the Bears, but rank sixth in PPG allowed in the second half. First half OVER anyone?

Carolina Panthers vs. Cincinnati Bengals Betting Trends and Odds

Panthers:

  • The Panthers are just 2-3-0 ATS following a loss, but their ATS +/- is actually in the top 11 of the NFL at +3.4.

Bengals:

  • The Bengals own the eighth-best ATS record as a favorite since 2021 under Joe Burrow, going 9-7-0 ATS during that time.

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions Betting Trends and Odds

Packers:

  • After going 12-6 ATS a season ago, the Packers are just 3-5-0 ATS in 2022, including 1-4-0 ATS as a favorite

Lions:

The Lions went 11-6-0 ATS in 2021, but are 3-4-0 ATS in 2022. Lofty expectations have not been too kind to them, going 0-4-0 ATS in their last four games.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction and Odds

Raiders:

  • The Raiders have yet to win a game on the road this season, but via Evan Abrams of the Action Network, teams after being shut out in their previous game are
  • 26-12 ATS on the road since 2020.

Jaguars:

  • The Jaguars are currently on a five-game ATS losing streak, and are tied for the fewest ATS wins this season.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots Betting Trends and Odds

Colts:

Don't bet on the Colts in the first half! Through the first eight weeks, they're 0-8 ATS in the first half of the season.

Patriots:

  • We know Bill Belichick rarely loses at home, but since Tom Brady left, Belichick is only 11-9-0 ATS at home. Belichick is also 14-0 at home vs. rookie quarterbacks, and while Sam Ehlinger isn't a rookie, he's making his first start of his career on the road in New England.

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets Betting Trends and Odds

Bills:

  • Think the double-digit spread is too big? Since 2021, the Bills own the largest margin of victory in the NFL at +12.3; a full +4.1 over the second place Dallas Cowboys.

Jets:

Why can't the Jets seem to cover at home? They're 4-0 ATS on the road, but are only 1-3-0 ATS in the Meadowlands.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Commanders Betting Trends and Odds

Vikings:

  • Did Kirk Cousins win last week? FADE HIM! Via Evan Abrams, Cousins is 15-28-1 ATS after a straight up victory since 2017, making him the least profitable QB vs. the number in the NFL.

Commanders:

  • Washington is 2-0 ATS as a favorite, but just 2-3-0 ATS as a dog.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6 - LATE AFTERNOON SLATE

Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Betting Trends and Odds

Seahawks:

  • The Seahawks have covered in three straight games, and are 4-2-0 ATS as an underdog in 2022.

Cardinals:

  • The Cardinals got it done at home on Thursday Night Football a few weeks ago vs. the Saints, but they struggle to cover at home. Arizona is 1-8 SU and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games in Glendale.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Trends and Odds

Rams:

  • The Rams are tied for the worst ATS record in the NFL this year, going 2-5-0 ATS through their first seven games.

Buccaneers:

  • Guess who's tied with the Rams for the worst ATS record? The Bucs, they're 2-6-0 ATS in 2022!

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6 - SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs Betting Trends and Odds

Titans:

  • Tennessee is one of the few teams to handle the Chiefs over the last several years, going 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six matchups.

Chiefs:

  • Kansas City is just 7-18 ATS in the last two years as a favorite of more than three points, but are 3-1 ATS in their last four games as a DOUBLE DIGIT FAVORITE.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7 - MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Baltimore Ravens vs. New Orleans Saints Betting Trends and Odds

Ravens:

  • The Ravens are one of just three teams in the NFL (Bucs, Chiefs) to not cover the spread at home (0-3-1). On the road, they're 3-1-0 ATS.

Saints:

The Saints at least put up a fight at home. They're 0-3 ATS on the road, but 2-2 ATS at the dome.
