The odds are out for every matchup on the Week 9 slate in the NFL, and while several compelling matchups are up on the board, there's also a few games that have the potential to be absolutely dreadful.

That is, of course, if you don't plan to wager on them.

Take Thursday Night Football this week, for example, as the 1-5-1 Houston Texans host the undefeated 7-0 Philadelphia Eagles from NRG Stadium this week. The NFL is king, and it's still football in the state of Texas, but with the Houston Astros in the World Series and the Texans currently a 13-13.5 point home underdog, it might be hard for Texans fans to get up for this one.

Switching gears to some of the more noteworthy matchups this week, the Buffalo Bills head to New Jersey for an AFC East matchup against the New York Jets, who found themselves tied with the Bills for the division lead before their home loss to the New England Patriots. The Bills won by double digits in a 27-17 win over Green Bay, but failed to cover the 10.5-point spread.

They're currently a 12-point favorite on the road this week.

In the late window, the 5-3 Seattle Seahawks head to Arizona to face the Cardinals, but do so as a 2.5-point road underdog against a 3-5 opponent in the division. Via Brandon Anderson, Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury is just 9-15 against the spread as a favorite in his career, while also going just 1-4 ATS in his division.

In primetime on Sunday night, two 5-2 teams meet up in Kansas City when the Chiefs host the AFC South-leading Tennessee Titans. Ryan Tannehill missed Week 8 due to injury, and his status remains questionable heading into this AFC Championship game rematch from the 2019-2020 playoffs.

Kansas City this week opened as a 10.5-point home favorite vs. the Titans.
