After a 1-1 night in the NHL, we're back with another full slate of games.

While the hot streak technically comes to an end with a small loss, we have a chance to get back on the right track tonight!

We have 13 games to bet on tonight, so let's jump into it!

NHL Best Bets Record-to-Date

  • 30-26 (+3.06 units)

NHL Best Bets for Today (Thursday, November 3)

  • Rangers (-125) vs. Bruins
  • Islanders/Blues OVER 6 (-105)
  • Devils (+135) vs. Oilers

New York Rangers (-125) vs. Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins backup goaltender, Jeremy Swayman, was hurt early in his last start, so tonight, the Bruins will need to turn to either a fatigued Linus Ullmark, or their third string goaltender, Keith Kinkaid. Whichever way they go, they'll have to face a Rangers team that ranks second in the NHL in high-danger scoring chances, averaging 16.12 per game, and they're also 4th in expected goals for per 60 minutes.

There's no doubt that the Bruins will be one of the better teams in the NHL this year, but we're going to see some regresssion from their 9-1 record sooner rather than later.

New York Islanders/St. Louis Blues OVER 6 (-105)

We're used to seeing the New York Islanders be a defense-first team, but that's not who they are this season. They are playing a much more wide-open style of play than what we're used to seeing. If you look at the stat "expected goals", the islanders are averaging a combined 7.1 expected goals per game, both for and against.

Jordan Binnington is likely to get the start for the Blues, and he has an .882 save percentage. Finally, St. Louis has had at least six goals in three straight games. I love the over in this game tonight.

New Jersey Devils (+135) vs. Edmonton Oilers

The Devils continue to be one of the surprises of the NHL season, and I'm going to continue to ride them until they prove me wrong. They rank first in 5-on-5 expected goals for (3.56) and first in 5-on-5 expected goals against at 1.73. They also rank first in both high-danger scoring chances.

I will ride them into the ground. I'm sure their success won't last, but for now, I'm going to trust numbers.
