We may have a full slate of NFL games to bet on, bet that doesn't mean we can't also wager on some NHL action.

There are six games on the ice today, so we have a few options for where we want to place our money. We've been hot lately, so let's keep the momentum going.

Here are my best bets for today's NHL games.

NHL Best Bets Record-to-Date

NHL Best Bets for Today (Sunday, November 13)

  • Sharks vs. Wild UNDER 6.5 (-120)
  • Rangers -1.5 (-130) vs. Coyotes
  • Kraken -135 vs. Jets

Sharks vs. Wild UNDER 6.5 (-120)

The Wild have been one of the better defensive teams through the first month of the NHL season. Entering today, they rank sixth in the NHL in 5-on-5 expected goals per 60 minutes at 2.36. On top of that, they have been one of the worst shooting teams in the league, ranking dead last in 5-on-5 shooting percentage, finding the back of the net on only 6.6% of shots.

That makes them an UNDER bettors dream, and with a total of 6.5 available at some sportsbooks, I'll pounce all over the UNDER.

Rangers -1.5 (-130) vs. Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes are playing above their heads this season. They're somehow 6-6-1, despite having the worst statistics and analytics amongst all teams. Fading them hasn't been profitable for me this year, but it's going to take a turn for the best sooner rather than later.

In this matchup the Rangers rank first in 5-on-5 CORSI%, while the Coyotes rank 31st. New York also ranks seventh in expected goals per 60 minnutes and Arizona ranks dead last. No matter what stat you look at, the Rangers are amongst the top and the Coyotes are in the bottom five.

New York SHOULD be able to take care of business tonight.

Kraken -135 vs. Jets

The Kraken are looking like a completely different team than they did in their first year as a franchise last season. Ahead of tonight's game, they rank 10th in several categories including ninth in CORSI% and eighth in expected goals against.

Meanwhile, the Jets haven't been as good as their record indicates. Most notably, they rank 24th in expected goals against. Their defense has been questionable at best through the first month of the season.

I'll ride the Kraken train tonight.
