I once again ended up on the wrong side of an attempt to fade the Arizona Coyotes last night as the Calgary Flames failed to cover the puck line. The loss resulted in a 1-2 night, so let's bounce back tonight.

There are nine games to wager on tonight, headlined by an intriguing matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars.

Let's dive into my favorite bet for Tuesday night's slate. You can find the best available odds for every game tonight HERE!

NHL Best Bets Record-to-Date

NHL Best Bets Today (Tuesday, December 6)

  • Senators -108 vs. Kings
  • Panthers -118 vs. Jets
  • Stars -105 vs. Maple Leafs

Senators -108 vs. Kings

The Los Angeles Kings have a goaltending issue, so now might be the time to fade them until they figure things out. Over their last 10 games, they have a team save percentage of 85.92%, which is dead last in the NHL. Their starting goaltender, Jonathan Quick, has a save percentage of 88.8%, which is abysmal.

Poor goaltending is going to hurt them tonight when they take on one of the better offensive teams in the NHL. The Senators lead the NHL in expected goals for over their last 10 games. They've struggled to find the back of the net and capitalize on their scoring chances, but that shouldn't be an issue now that they get to face Quick.

Panthers -118 vs. Jets

I truly don't understand how the Florida Panthers are only slight favorites in this game. I'd encourage you to look past each team's records when evaluating this matchup. Heading into tonight, the Jets rank 17th in CORSI%, 15th in expected goals for, and 19th in expected goals against.

Their success can be largely contributed to their goaltender, Connor Hellebuyck, who is putting together another Vezina worthy season, but the Panthers offense is going to be too much for him and the Jets to handle tonight.

Stars -105 vs. Maple Leafs

The Stars have been impressive this season and have been hot as of late, ranking 7th in the league in CORSI% over their last 10 games while the Maple Leafs have ranked 27th over the same stretch.

Dallas has also taken advantage of its opportunities. They rank second in the NHL in shooting percentage this season, scoring on 12.31% of their shots. Matt Murray has been hot for Toronto since returning from injury, but Dallas should have no issue creating opportunities against the Maple Leafs defense.

I'll back the Stars as slight home underdogs in this spot.
