The primary focus for us is going to be on the NFL this week, but that doesn't mean we can't also bet on some other sports.

One of those is the National Hockey League with a five game slate spread out through the day beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

You can track my bets on Betstamp here, as well as right here on BetSided in each "Best Bets" article.

Let's dive into my favorite NHL bets for today's action.

NHL Best Bets Record-to-Date:

  • 22-21 (+0.69 units)

NHL Best Bets for Today (Sunday, October 30)

  • Wild -190 vs. Blackhawks
  • Rangers -1.5 (+130) vs. Coyotes
  • Ducks +1.5 (-150) vs. Maple Leafs

Wild -190 vs. Blackhawks

The Minnesota Wild have stumbled out of the gates, but are in a great bounce back spot tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks on the road. Despite being 4-3-1, the Blackhawks rank in the bottom of the NHL in several key 5-on-5 statistics. They're 30th in CORSI% and 29th in expected goals per 60 minutes.

The Wild rank 16th and 20th in those statistics.

We're going to see regression from Chicago, and it could start in this game.

Rangers -1.5 (+130) vs. Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes are the worst team in the NHL. There's no sugar-coating it. They have a 5-on-5 expected goals for per 60 minutes of 1.49, and an expected goals against of 3.37. That means the analytics show they should be losing by an average of 1.88 goals per game, the worst mark in the NHL by a wide margin.

Now they have a Rangers team that ranks in the top 10 in both of those categories, while also ranking sixth in CORSI%.

New York should win this one in a rout.

Ducks +1.5 (-150) vs. Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs are stumbling, and the vibes are not good in Toronto.

A big reason for their woes has been their shooting percentage. They can't put the puck in the net, scoring on just 8.63 percent of their shots. I'm not going to completely fade them by taking the Ducks to win outright, but I'll back Anaheim on the +1.5 puck line.

The Leafs may win, but with the way they've been playing lately, they're going to struggle to win with margin. I'll bank on the Ducks to keep this one close.
