This might be a matchup of two teams that were exposed as frauds in the SEC. Texas A&M didn’t wait long to do it, but Ole Miss hung on until Week 8 of the season to get pounded by LSU, 45-20 and drop to No. 15 in the rankings. On the other hand, Texas A&M just keeps sinking to new depths with another loss last week and a 3-4 record. However, Ole Miss is still 7-1 and already bowl eligible.

Despite the disparity in their records, Ole Miss is only a slight favorite on the road, so let’s take a look at the odds.

Ole Miss vs. Texas A&M Prediction and Pick

Lane Kiffin’s team just did not have it against LSU and all of a sudden, LSU looks like one of the better teams in the country. Ole Miss was the underdog in that game, but a 25-point loss was a disastrous result. Their offense is so predicated around running the ball and LSU was able to hold them to just 116 yards on the ground. Jaxson Dart threw for 284 yards, but had no touchdowns and one pick.

I think LSU is going to end the year in the top 10 and really give Alabama a tough game. The Tigers are a really good team, and Ole Miss isn’t in that caliber, but the Rebels are still much better than A&M. The Aggies' 30-24 loss to South Carolina was the fourth loss of the season, and they did it while out gaining South Carolina, 398-296. That is the first time this season the Aggies have gained more yards than a team not named Sam Houston State.

Ole Miss wasn’t a real top 10 team, but it is certainly one of the 15 best teams in the country and its running game is the primary reason. Quinshon Judkins is dynamic, and the Rebels average 252 yards on the ground per game. That is third in the country and first if you exclude the military academies and their triple-option attack. This week, Dart and Judkins get to face an A&M defense that is 102nd against the run. It’ll be a big day for Judkins and a fourth straight loss for the Aggies.

Pick: Ole Miss -1.5 (-110)
