North Carolina vs. Pittsburgh Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 11
By Matt De Saro
Week 11 brings us a massive ACC Coastal game between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Pittsburgh Panthers at Heinz Field.
The 7-2 Panthers lead the division over second-place Virginia with a perfect 5-0 conference record. Pitt bounced back last week with a strong win over Duke that saw quarterback Kenny Pickett throw for 416 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers have a great shot to head to the ACC Championship game and have a lot more to play for than UNC in this game.
Despite a shaky 5-4 record, the Tar Heels are coming off one of the biggest upsest so far this season. UNC beat No. 9 Wake Forest 58-55, handing the Demon Deacons their first loss of the season. That win brings a lot of momentum with it and show that if the start align, UNC can hang with teams that are considered much better.

North Carolina vs. Pittsburgh Prediction and Pick
The No. 25 Pittsburgh Panthers feature the highest-scoring offense in college football this season. Their lowest scoring game was a 28-point performance against Virginia Tech with their highest being a 77-7 win over New Hampshire.
I do worry a bit about this team after losing to Miami two weeks ago and then having a bit of trouble against Duke. Don’t let that 54-29 final score fool you into thinking that this whole game was a blowout or that Duke scored a bunch in garbage time.
In fact, the Blue Devils led this game 19-14 in the second quarter. Thankfully, for them, Pickett saved the day and lit up Duke for more than 400 yards and four total touchdowns. While a win is a win, it was a troubling first half for a team coming off an upset loss.
Meanwhile, UNC beating Wake Forest last weekend has to have spiked the Tar Heels' momentum and confidence heading into Week 11. Wake was a top-10 ranked team and UNC beat them for most of this game and on both sides of the ball.
I want to like UNC again here but I think Pitt has learned from its close call last week and won’t get off to a slow start again. This is the nation’s highest-scoring offense after all. I expect them to play more like it this week.
Prediction: Pittsburgh -6.0 (-110)
