The Fighting Irish are coming off a road high-scoring loss to Virginia Tech, and will continue their road trip to Howard on Monday. Between a couple teams that are capable of scoring, there are trends to point towards how this game is going to go.

As a road favorite, Notre Dame is 1-2 against the spread this season, and they’re 7-9 against the spread total. As favorites, in general, the Fighting Irish are 4-6 against the spread. Howard, on the other hand, is 4-3 against the spread as underdogs this year.
Notre Dame is the better overall team, but Howard pushes the tempo quite a bit. Their efficiency numbers are low, but they rank 30th in adjusted tempo at 72.2 possessions per 40 minutes.
