Notre Dame vs. North Carolina Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 4
By Josh Yourish
Marcus Freeman finally got his first win as the Head Coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last weekend against Cal. North Carolina was off last week and maybe the extra time allowed them to figure out their defense which has been one of the worst in college football.
Will that poor defense allow Notre Dame to finally start moving the ball or with UNC score too much for Notre Dame to keep up?

Notre Dame vs. UNC Prediction and Pick
Obviously, we know that North Carolina’s defense is a disaster this year, we’ve watched them give up points left and right. Notre Dame has not scored more than 24 points this season, but their offense has looked better in each game. Mack Brown’s defense will absolutely give up more than 24, they gave up 28 to Georgia State and 24 to Florida A&M.
North Carolina has the 20th most passing yards per game with Drake Maye and quarterback and I think Maye is legitimately one of the best quarterbacks in the country and an upgrade over Sam Howell last year. It may have been from a lack of weapons or struggling offensive line, but Howell reverted to a one read and run type of quarterback. Maye looks composed and is getting the ball to his playmakers so far this year.
I think North Carolina will be able to score on almost anybody, but they will also get scored on by anybody. The Tar Heels have scored more than 55.5 themselves twice this year, so if Notre Dame can chip in with Drew Pyne passing on UNC’s soft zone defense, then this game goes over easily.
Pick: Over 55.5 (-115)
