Notre Dame vs. Ohio State Updated Prediction and Pick
Our Joe Summers looked at this game earlier in the week, Josh Yourish made his selection for the game, but decided to look towards the scoreboard.
“We know Ohio State will score. A lot. We also know the defense should be improved. By a lot. We don't know what Buchner and Notre Dame will look like, especially in a wildly hostile environment. I'll back the Buckeyes to open the season on a mission. They believe they could have (and should have) won the National Championship last year, and Week 1 is the perfect time to prove they mean business,” Summers said in his breakdown of the game.
Summers thinks Ohio is going to stomp Notre Dame and while I don’t hate that take, I’m going to look towards the OVER in this one. If Ohio State comes out firing, I can see them putting up points like nobody’s business. They have the most explosive offense in the country and can potentially hit this line by themselves. The defense is supposed to be improved, but what if it takes time to get things going?
There’s a little space for Notre Dame to turn this into a shootout, in which case I think the OVER is sure to hit. Rooting for points is also just fun, so let’s take the OVER here.
