The potential back-to-back MVP will be in action on Wednesday night, as Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets head to Indy to take on the Indiana Pacers.

Jokic has helped Denver put two games of separation between it and the Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 6 seed in the West, and a win would actually put Denver ahead of the Utah Jazz and into the No. 5 spot in the conference.

Indy is in the basement in the East, but Tyrese Haliburton has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season.

Nuggets vs. Pacers Prediction and Pick

We’re looking at two of the top five OVER teams in the NBA in this matchup, as the Nuggets (41-33-2) and Pacers (41-34-1) have both gone over on the total in over 54 percent of their games.

I think we could be in line for a similar showing tonight, as both of these teams have been solid on the offensive end over their last 10 games.

The Pacers are 13th in offensive rating, compared to Denver at No. 8, and the Pacers ranks 29th in the NBA in defensive rating over that stretch.

This should be an easy matchup for Nikola Jokic down low, and the Nuggets have shown that they can score plenty of points, putting up 113 or more in eight of their last nine games. I think that number takes a bump with how poor Indy is on defense.

As for the Pacers, they have cleared 234.5 points in seven of their last 11 games, and they should get Malcolm Brogdon back in the lineup after he sat out Monday’s game for rest.

I’ll lean with this game going over as Jokic continues to solidify his MVP case.

Lean: OVER 234.5 (-110)
