The Denver Nuggets head North tonight to square off against the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena. Denver is coming off a loss to the Boston Celtics despite another MVP caliber game from Nikola Jokic with a 23/16/11 triple-double. The rest of the team was unable to rally behind him and eventually blew a lead and fell 108-102. The Raptors, meanwhile, are coming off a fantastic win over the Houston Rockets and are one of the more locked-in teams right now. Gary Trent Jr. went nuts and scored 42 points off 57.7 percent shooting while Pascal Siakam added 30 on a big night for Toronto. Here are the odds for this primetime NBA showdown courtesy of WynnBET

Nuggets vs. Raptors Prediction and Pick

The Raptors enter this game riding a very impressive eight-game win streak and have nine wins in their last 10 games. Siakam and Trent have been at the center of this streak and the Raptors’ success depends heavily on them. Furthermore, the Raptors got even stronger this week when they traded Goran Dragic to the Spurs for Thaddeus Young and Drew Eubanks. Young could make his debut tonight and while he isn’t having the best season, could be an important piece to the Raptors’ puzzle. The Raptors enter this game with the 10th best three-point shooting percentage at 35.7 and 12th in total threes made. One injury to keep an eye on heading into this game is Fred VanVleet. He has been out since last week with groin soreness and, while listed as questionable, is unlikely to play tonight.

The Nuggets might have the best player in the NBA, but he needs some help if the Nuggets hope to make it to the next level. Denver has lost four of their last six games including three road games in a row. Toronto has the mix of offense and defense to keep this team in check and should cover this spread at home tonight.

Pick: Toronto Raptors -4 (-110)
