The Golden State Warriors looked to be in peak form during Game 1 against the Nuggets. Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson were hitting shots, Draymond Green ran the offense and the defense was swarming. It was a tough time for the Nuggets, who don’t have many options outside of Nikola Jokic.

Will Game 2 be any different from Game 1 or will the Warriors take a commanding 2-0 lead?

Here are the odds for the matchup via WynnBET.

Nuggets vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

While I want to have faith in Nikola Jokic’s carrying ability, what I saw from the Warriors was championship level basketball. They didn’t play to their potential, but they still blew the Nuggets out the water.

The main reason I’m taking the Warriors here is because of Jordan Poole’s performance. His 30-point playoff debut performance showed he’s ready for this stage. On top of that, Steph Curry wasn’t even fully healthy. If Curry can get back into the starting lineup and look like himself again, Golden State is as real of a championship contender as it’s been all year long.

Golden State’s defense was impeccable and the shooting and motion was on point. I’m not sure Denver has enough offensive creation to keep up with the Warriors, so I’ll take Golden State at home.

Lean: Warriors -7 (-110)
