SPOILERS AHEAD

Everyone's favorite lawyer is back, baby! Saul Goodman finally returns to our television screens tonight as the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul premieres at 9:00 PM EST on AMC and AMC+.

The criminal lawyer formerly known as Jimmy McGill ended last season in a whirlwind, thinking he escaped the dangerous Lalo Salamanca but worried about the potential monster he helped create in his partner, Kim Wexler.

There are a ton of loose ends to tie up in this two-part final season and we get two episodes tonight to start answering our questions. How will Lalo exact his revenge after a failed assassination attempt by Gustavo Fring and Nacho Varga? Will Jimmy get redemption as Gene Takovic in the flash-forward scenes? What about the fates of Kim, Nacho, and Howard Hamlin, all of whom don't appear in Breaking Bad?

With so many storylines looming ahead of what is sure to be a power-packed season, it's time to play a glorious game of "Let's Set Odds!"

Let's Set Odds: Prop Bets for Final Season of Better Call Saul

Does Kim Wexler Survive Before the Season Finale:

  • Yes: -120
  • No: +100

Kim has become my favorite character in the series and one of my favorite characters on television, period. Rhea Seehorn is sublime as Jimmy's partner-in-crime and Kim's descent into criminality is the most interesting subplot in a series loaded with fascinating storylines.

Ever since her first appearance as Jimmy's life partner, fans have wondered what will become of the talented attorney with a penchant for helping those in need. She isn't brought up a single time in Breaking Bad while Lalo and Nacho are at least name-dropped by Saul. How can the love of Jimmy's life that's been so crucially important in Better Call Saul not even warrant a single mention in his future life?

While I've spent the entire series thinking Kim is doomed, I'm starting to rethink that stance. Show creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have a knack for surprise, and it seems almost too predictable for Kim to perish by season end. I also struggle with the idea that Jimmy could summon the bravado required to portray his Saul persona in the future if his partner died because of his actions in the past.

What if Kim is responsible for Saul Goodman's shell company in Breaking Bad, Ice Station Zebra Associates? Or what if she was forced to go into hiding and Jimmy tries to find her as Gene Takovic in the future? There's a lot of directions the show could go with her, and I think she's going to survive at least until the season finale.

Pick: Yes (-120)

Who dies first?

  • Nacho Varga -150
  • Lalo Salamanca +125

Much to my chagrin, it's not looking good for Better Call Saul's version of Jesse from Breaking Bad. Nacho just wants to protect his father and get out of the game for good, leading to a series of moves designed to escape his life of crime.

Nacho tried to eliminate Hector Salamanca but was then turned into a pawn for Gus after the drug kingpin interfered. He then aided in the failed assassination attempt on Lalo Salamanca, but doesn't know that Lalo survived. Lalo will be out for vengeance, and I'm terrified that means Nacho and his loving father are the first targets.

In Breaking Bad, nearly everyone Jesse loved met a brutal demise. Better Call Saul seems to be setting up the same for Nacho, and I think Lalo tries to find him by going after his father first. That'll likely set up a showdown between Nacho and Lalo, and we know Jimmy will be happy to throw his former companion under the bus since he tried to when he thought he was being kidnapped by Lalo in Breaking Bad.

But we also know that Lalo does actually die, as Gus announces in Breaking Bad that he's killed every Salamanca. Nacho is not a Salamanca, and like Jesse, he may be able to escape to start a new life. I'll go with the value on Lalo dying first since we don't actually know if Nacho will die. But if we were making a betting pool on what character would die first, Nacho's father is the leader in the clubhouse.

Pick: Lalo (+125)

What Happens to Howard Hamlin?

  • Dies +150
  • Goes to Jail +225
  • Continues as Partner at HHM +300
  • None of the above +400

If the teasers released before the season are any indication, Howard is going to play a huge role in season six. His squabbles with Jimmy and Kim have been a focus throughout the series and season five ended with Kim hatching a plan to end Howard's career.

While Jimmy's descent into Saul Goodman is nearly complete, he still has a bit of morality left to lose before the events of Breaking Bad. If Hamlin finds out about Jimmy's involvement with the cartel and Gus Fring, it wouldn't be surprising at all for him to be caught in the crosshairs as Gus builds his empire.

I don't see how Howard could stay alive and not expose Jimmy's criminality in the Breaking Bad timeline, so I expect him to meet his demise at some point this season. I don't believe Jimmy would actually kill Howard, but I fully expect him to be aware that the HHM partner needs to be eliminated and sign off on it to protect himself and Kim.

Pick: Dies (+150)

When will Walter White and Jesse Pinkman Appear in the Final Season (O/U 6.5 Episodes)

  • OVER (Episodes 7-13) +150
  • UNDER (Episodes 1-6) -175

Peter Gould has already confirmed that the duo from Breaking Bad will appear in this final season, but we don't know when or how. Since Saul Goodman meets Walter White for the first time in Breaking Bad, the writers will need to get a bit creative with how they introduce the future Heisenberg. But, Jesse seems to already be familiar with Saul, so I'm anxious to see how he ties into the plot.

Perhaps Jesse or one of his friends become one of Kim's pro bono clients? Maybe they just have a passing encounter, or maybe Jesse appears in a flash-forward when Jimmy is Gene Takovic?

Whatever the case, I'm taking the under. This final season is split into two parts, and I don't think Gould would have teased the famous pair would appear in season six without paying it off pretty early. Give me the under in the easiest bet on the board.

Pick: Under (-175)
