First Davante Adams got his paper. Then Tyreek Hill got his, but had to be moved out of Kansas City in the process.

Now, the latest wide receiver suspense has reached a new boiling point in San Francisco, as multiple reports have San Francisco 49ers start wideout Deebo Samuel looking to head elsewhere.

While WynnBET Sportsbook does not have odds available for Samuel's possible trade destination, let's set the odds ourselves and determine the best possible fits for the 26-year old standout receiver.

WynnBET currently has the 49ers at +1200 to win the Super Bowl in 2023, but those odds could shoot down the moment he gets dealt.

Odds for Deebo Samuel's Next Team

  • New York Jets +200
  • Kansas City Chiefs +300
  • Philadelphia Eagles +450
  • Green Bay Packers +550
  • San Francisco 49ers +110
  • The Field +200

New York Jets +200

The Jets were all in on trying to acquire Tyreek Hill, but fell just short to the Miami Dolphins as they made him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL on his way out of Kansas City.

New York has two first round draft picks in the top 10, as well as four picks in the top 38 this year. If they're going to learn whether they have a future franchise quarterback in Zach Wilson, they must surround him with talent to determine if he's worth the investment in a second contract several years down the road.

The familiarity of Jets head coach Robert Saleh from his time in San Francisco would make for an easy transition as well.

Kansas City Chiefs +300

The Chiefs had interest in locking up Hill to a contract extension; just not at the price him and agent Drew Rosenhaus were seeking.

Kansas City has a cap wizard in General Manager Brett Veach, along with Assistant GM Brandt Tilis who have found numerous ways to keep quality players while quarterback Patrick Mahomes is set to make.

They've already added JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez-Valdes Scantling to the mix, but adding Samuel's skillset to Andy Reid's offense would be almost unfair to the rest of the league.

Philadelphia Eagles +450

The Eagles have stated their interest publicly in getting more pieces for quarterback Jalen Hurts; rather than try to upgrade at the quarterback position.

Philadelphia hasn't been shy about using high draft capital on wide receivers, especially the last two years on first rounders in Devonta Smith and Jalen Reagor the year before.

Samuel fits head coach Nick Sirianni's system as another added dimension. He can work both inside as a runner, as well as lining up outside or in the slot and use Hurts' ability to move in and around the pocket to get Samuel in space to make plays.

Green Bay Packers +550

So you're telling me the plan was not just to replace Davante Adams, Marqez Valdez-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown with just Sammy Watkins?

If the Packers are serious about contending this year, they need to add more talent to the roster at wide receiver to replace the near 45% target share that's now elsewhere. Aaron Rodgers is a back-to-back MVP winner, and the draft does have several prominent names at wideout; but Samuel is a perfect fit in Matt La Fleur's variation of Kyle Shanahan's offense in Green Bay (they all worked under Mike Shanahan).

The question is, even if Green Bay offers the best package, would San Francisco, knowing their in a window to contend trade their best offensive skill position player to a team that they've played multiple times in the postseason?

They'd have to be blown away and that's not traditionally the Packers' style.

San Francisco 49ers +110

I still think there's plenty of time for this situation to be resolved in the Bay Area.

Samuel's success, as well as the team's have put himself in a position to be one of the highest paid receiver in the league, and while guaranteed money would likely follow him at his next destination, the winning and proven success may not.

While NFL Network's Ian Rapoport states that money is not at the root of the issue, it certainly can go a long way in helping to fix the problem.

I'll back a new deal getting done in San Francisco for Samuel ahead of the NFL Draft.
