There have been several notable odds shifts over the Week 11 slate, but why all of the sudden movement?

Many times, it can be injury related, or perhaps sharp money coming in on a certain side. Sometimes, professional bettors will try to force the line up one direction, only to hammer the other side once the line gets to a certain number they like even more.

This week, there have been four different teams that have moved their opening lines from last Sunday up at least 1.5-points or higher on WynnBET. Let's take a look at the opening odds, the current odds as of Sunday morning, and why the line has changed according to the oddsmakers.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Opening Line: 49ers -4.5 (-110)
  • Current Line: 49ers -6.5 (-110)

New Orleans Saints vs. Philadelphia Eagles

  • Opening Line: Saints/Eagles Pick 'Em (-110)
  • Current Line: Eagles -3 (-110)

According to WynnBET Trader Sawyer Johnson, both of these games were a clear indication of the money coming in early in the week on San Francisco and Philadelphia.

“The money we took on the sides of the 49ers and Eagles was enough to warrant a move," said Johnson.

He also went on to mention that he disagrees with the early movement, citing that it now offers an overvalued line for betters to cash in on the less popular plays.

"The Jaguars and Saints are my favorite plays this week. So, I have no explanation for the move and my numbers have it N.O. -1, and S.F. -4. The Saints are three weeks removed from dominating the defending champions and the Jaguars are two weeks removed from beating the Super Bowl favorites (Bills) at home. The 49ers have a long way to travel on a short week and are coming off of a massive divisional win. This is a horrible spot for them. The Eagles have started to look good recently, but they looked good against the Lions and an overrated Broncos team.”

The Saints will not have the services of their best offensive player in Alvin Kamara, who will miss a second consecutive week due to injury.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-110)

  • Opening Line: Chargers -4
  • Current Line: Chargers -6

"In terms of the Chargers, the Steelers have a lot of players questionable due to health," Johnson told BetSided.

"So, that was the reason why we moved it to -6.5.”

The line got all the way up to Chargers -6.5 before news came out that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would likely be active for Sunday night against L.A. Roethlisberger had a positive COVID test that caused him to miss their Week 10 home game vs. the Detroit Lions which ended in a tie.

Johnson also spoke with us about some of the more popular NFL upsets that bettors are taking this week.

Other notable line moves this week include the Dolphins from 2.5 to 3.5-point favorites vs. the Jets, the Ravens moving from +6.5 to -5-point road favorites in Chicago vs. the Bears, and the Vikings going from +2.5 to +1 at home against the Packers.
