Since joining the Los Angeles Rams, there has been a lot of talk about the resurrection of Odell Beckham Jr.’s career. While his statistical output in general might not be terribly overwhelming, he’s done one thing at an incredible rate — score touchdowns.

Odell Beckham Jr had a blistering start to his career

When Odell Beckham Jr. caught that pass on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys (you know the catch. It was that catch), many thought he was off to the start of a hall of fame career. It certainly looked like it. He was only the second receiver in NFL history to log 1,250+ receiving yards in each of his first two seasons, joining Randy Moss in that club.

OBJ was on the fast track to superstardom. His sideline antics like proposing to a kicking net are almost as memorable as his statistical output. He was a dominant force, on and off the field. In his first three seasons, Beckham racked up 4,122 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns in 42 games.

Beckham suffered an injury in 2017, limiting him to only four appearances and two starts. He frustration in New York began to boil over in the 2018 season, after which he was traded to the Cleveland Browns. What looked like a hall of fame career never materialized.

Beckham found new life in Los Angeles

Beckham appeared in 29 out of 41 games with the Browns due to a couple nagging injuries. When he was on the field, it was apparent from the start that the chemistry wasn’t there with quarterback Baker Mayfield, and also that the run-heavy scheme in Cleveland was not a good fit for his talents.

Beckham averaged only 54.7 receiving yards per game and scored seven touchdowns in his 29 appearances in Cleveland. His catch rate while in Cleveland was a lowly 54.3%.

With the relationship between Beckham and the Browns having run its course, he was released in November and promptly signed with the Los Angeles Rams. He’s made a living in the end zone since.

In their last 9 games including their Wild Card appearance, Beckham has caught six touchdown passes on 52 targets. He’s only averaging 39.9 receiving yards per game operating as the clear No. 2 behind Cooper Kupp, but he has become a red zone favorite of Matthew Stafford.

If there’s one Odell Beckham Jr. prop worth betting every game, it’s the anytime touchdown scorer prop.
