Ohio vs. Toledo Prediction and Odds (Rockets Gunning for a Season Sweep of Bobcats)
By Matt De Saro
Mid-American Conference rivals, the Ohio Bobcats and Toledo Rockets, do battle in a very pivotal game in terms of MAC standings.
Ohio currently leads the conference with a 10-1 record while Toledo is in second at 10-2.
A Rockets’ win would tie them with Ohio and give them a tiebreaker should the pair end the season locked atop the standings. Toledo comes off a tough loss at Ball State and looks to bounce back against a Bobcats team riding a five-game win streak.

Ohio vs. Toledo Prediction and Pick
The Bobcats are not only coming into this game trying to maintain their conference lead but also with a bit of revenge on the mind. Toledo was the only team to beat Ohio so far in conference play. Toledo actually blew Ohio out 87-69 in late January. The team rebounded to win their last five in a row and could grow their lead to two games with a win tonight.
That is easier said than done with the Rockets sporting a top 15 scoring offense. Their defense ranks 203rd, but their offense has been so good that they are also 38th in average score margin at +8.8. Toledo is also a superior rebounding team that ranks inside the top 20. Ohio is more of a balanced team with an offense that ranks 74th and a defense that ranks 72nd. But that balance was not able to stop or even slow down Toledo the last time these two teams clashed.
Looking back on that last game, Toledo’s offense and high-tempo were too much for Ohio to handle. The Rockets controlled the boards and scored a lot off of turnovers. I don’t see Ohio being able to adjust to get fix these matchup holes and will be taking Toledo as slight favorites to sweep this series.
Pick: Toledo -2.5 (-110)
