Oklahoma vs. Nebraska Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 3
By Joe Summers
Nebraska's fall from grace has been as spectacular as it's been swift. The storied program fired Cornhusker-alum Scott Frost after his latest embarrassment, a 42-45 loss to Georgia Southern as 23-point favorites.
With a 1-8 record in its last nine games, Nebraska now hopes interim coach, Mikey Joseph, can turn things around. He'll have a tough task in his first game, taking on a powerful Oklahoma squad that's won its first two matchups by a combined score of 78-16.
Let's jump into the consensus odds before evaluating this seemingly-lopsided contest.

Oklahoma vs Nebraska Prediction and Pick
Oklahoma's defense looks dominant, and I don't see how the Cornhuskers can hang around even with a bump from firing Frost. Nebraska hasn't covered the spread in four straight games, and Dillon Gabriel is about to wreck havoc on a defense that somehow let Georgia Southern score 45 points.
Gabriel completed over 70% of his passes with five touchdowns and no interceptions in his first two games as a Sooner, while Marvin Mims hauled in seven catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns last week. Nebraska allowed 409 passing yards to the Eagles, so I'm expecting a huge day from Gabriel.
If this Sooners' defense is legit, then Oklahoma may have its best team in quite some time, as shocking as that is to believe. A squad that powerful that can beat you in so many different ways and they should eviscerate a downtrodden Nebraska program that seems to invent ways to lose every week.
Back Oklahoma to continue its strong start under Brent Venables while the Cornhuskers' precipitous fall continues to depths previously unknown. This line is just too small for two programs that couldn't feel farther apart.
