Oldest and Youngest Players to Ever Win The Masters
Phil Mickelson may not be making an appearence at this year's Masters due to a allegedley being asked by Augusta National to not show up after some questional comments about the Saudi Golf League this year, but that doesn't mean his impact won't still be felt.
For those of you who don't remember, Mickelson set the all-time record last year as the oldest golfer to ever win a Major Tournament, winning the 2021 PGA Championship at just under 51 years old.
When talking about the Masters, the oldest golfer to ever win it is Jack Nicklaus when he did it back in 1986 at 46 years old.
What about the youngest winners? Young Tom Morris Jr. won the Open Championship way back in 1868 at 17 years old, but that win is largely discounted due to how long ago it was. The modern answer, would be Johnny McDermott who won the US Open in 1911.
The youngest winner of the Masters is none other than Tiger Woods, who did it at 21 years old in 1997.
Let's focus in on Woods as the youngest, and Nicklaus as the oldest to ever win the Green Jacket. Can anyone break either of those records this year?

Who Can Break the Record for Oldest Masters Winner
Once again, Jack Nicklaus currently holds the record, winning in 1986 at 46 years, 2 months, and 23 days old. Let's look at the top contenders to break the record.
Tiger Woods +6000
That's right. If Tiger can pull off one of the most improbable comebacks (for the second time in his career), he will become both the youngest golfer to ever win the Masters, and the oldest. At 46 years, 3 months, and 7 days olds, he's narrowly beat the record by less than a month.
Lee Westwood +40000
Lee Westwood has nine top 3 finishes at Major Tournaments, but zero wins. He's one of the most decorated and successful golfers in the world who still doesn't have a major championship. He's 48 years old heading into this year's tournament, and getting over the major tournament hump at this age would be a major accomplishment, and would make him the oldest Masters winner ever.
He's already missed three cuts this season, and his best finish in a stroke play event is T42, so it doesn't look promising. He's not 400/1 for no reason.
Stewart Cink +40000
It might sound crazy, but the 48-year old Stewart Cink won two events on the PGA Tour last year, so he's proven he can win at this age. To be fair, he hasn't had a great season so far in 2022, but he's coming off a T7 finish at the Valspar Championship. Outside of Tiger and Westwood, he's really the only realistic possibility to break this record.
Who Can Break the Record for Youngest Masters Winner
Jordan Spieth had the chance to break this record back in 2014, but eventually finished T2. Is there anyone in the field this week who can snap Tiger's record?
Aaron Jarvis +500000
The 19-year old amateur Aaron Jarvis is the only one in the field who is young enough to break Tiger's record as the youngest ever winner at the Masters. The odds are wildly stacked against him, considering the last time an amateur won a major tournament was back in 1933 when Johnny Goodman won the US Open.
Jarvis is a freshman golfer at UNLV, and earned his invitation to the Masters by winning the Latin American Amateur Championship.
