Baseball fans get a day to collect their breath on Monday, as the ALDS and NLDS are set to kick off on Tuesday after an entertaining wild card round over the weekend.

The San Diego Padres, Cleveland Guardians, Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners advanced from the wild card round, but they are also all set as underdogs in the division series.

Major League Baseball’s new format certainly puts the wild card teams at a slight disadvantage pitching wise, but there is something that needs to be said for the momentum of winning a series and facing a team that has simply been resting.

Here are the odds for each series from FanDuel, as well as an early lean from yours truly on who will win the series:

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees Series Odds

  • Guardians: +182
  • Yankees: -220

Lean: I’m going with my Yankees here, as they have the offense, if it shows up, to beat this Guardians team. These teams have some history in the ALDS against each other, with the Yankees comeback from 0-2 in 2017 and the Guardians beating them 3-1 back in 2007.

If Aaron Judge and company can hit, New York should be able to handle this weaker lineup.

Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros Series Odds

  • Mariners: +194
  • Astros: -235

Lean: I’m going to take a shot on the Mariners and their pitching here, as Luis Castillo, Logan Gilbert and Robbie Ray may be able to match up better than most against Justin Verlander, Lance McCullers and Framber Valdez.

The Astros are rightful favorites, but these teams have played a lot this season (Mariners went 7-12) which could make things interesting.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves Series Odds

  • Phillies: +158
  • Braves: -186

Lean: The Phillies have an elite 1-2 punch with Aaron Nola and Zach Wheeler, but the defending champs have arguably the best offense in baseball and solid pitching with Max Fried and Kyle Wright leading the way. If Atlanta wins Game 1, it will be in the driver’s seat for the series.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Series Odds

  • Padres: +182
  • Dodgers: -220

Lean: As impressive as the Padres were in the wild card round, I have to go with the Dodgers in this spot.

The Padres already used their top three starters, which is going to put them behind the eight ball early in this series. If they steal one early watch out, but the Dodgers are simply too good for me to bet on that happening.
