Oregon vs. Utah Updated Odds and Prediction for Pac 12 Championship Game
By Matt De Saro
The No. 11 Oregon Ducks are gunning for revenge in the Pac-12 Championship Game after the No. 19 Utah Utes beat them two weeks ago.
The Utes didn’t so much beat the Ducks as they totally destroyed them 38-7 the last time they met. That game was just two weeks ago and I find it hard to imagine the Ducks have fixed the issues that led to that disaster. Yet, Oregon is a mere 2.5 point underdog to a team they lost by 31 points two games ago.
So, why do the oddsmakers think this game will go so drastically different? Let’s explore the updated odds for the Pac-12 Championship game, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Oregon vs. Utah Prediction and Pick
Just because they got embarrassed by the Utes recently, doesn’t mean the Oregon Ducks are a bad team. They were No. 3 in the nation before that loss and had their sights set on the CFP. It was a devastating loss and a harsh reality check for a team that had become too comfortable with winning. However, the caliber of teams they were beating does call into question their AP ranking. Aside from an incredible game against Ohio State, the Ducks haven’t beaten a ranked team all season. Utah was their second game against a ranked opponent and we all know how that went.
As I stated earlier in the week in my initial breakdown, I just don’t see the value in betting Oregon here. If the blowout loss had occurred in the first few weeks of the season, I wouldn’t put as much weight on it. But it just happened. I just don’t see a world where the Ducks have corrected all the mistakes that led to them getting blown out. I don’t necessarily think that will happen again. But I think it’s far more likely that the Ducks keeping this game close and covering.
Pick: Utah Utes -2.5 (-110)
