The Orioles fantastic run continued on Monday with a 4-2 win over the Cubs on the road.

That win pushed Baltimore's winning streak to nine, and it's now two games over .500 as it pushes for an AL Wild Card berth.

Can the Orioles make it double digits? It has been some time since the ball club hit that mark.

Here are the odds for Wednesday's matchup with Baltimore listed as underdogs again:

Orioles vs. Cubs Odds, Run Line, Total

Run Line:

  • Orioles: +1.5 (-185)
  • Cubs: -1.5 (+152)

Moneyline:

  • Orioles: +125
  • Cubs: -135

Total:

  • 8 (Over -115/Under -105)

Orioles vs. Cubs Prediction and Pick

This is a tricky matchup for the Orioles against lefty Justin Steele. The O's are 25th in batting average when facing southpaws. However, I'm not sure the Cubs are in line to pounce on Spenser Watkins with the conditions at Wrigley Field:

Watkins hasn't been great this season with a 4.15 ERA and an xERA of 5.42, but he is a predominantly fly ball pitcher -- meaning that balls that may leave the park are going to be kept in. Watkins has a flyball rate north of 60%, well above league average and he may be in line for a strong showing against a Cubs team that is 23rd in wRC+ since the beginning of July.

Questions around the Orioles lineup hitting a lefty are warranted, but I'm not laying this price with the 34-53 Cubbies, so I'll look to the under.

LEAN: UNDER 8 (-105)
