Orioles vs. Mariners Prediction and Odds for Monday, June 27 (Could the Orioles Be Good?)
By Joe Summers
The Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners are both 34-40, saw their respective winning streaks snapped yesterday, and start exciting young pitchers on strong stretches tonight as they square off at 10:10 PM EST.
Tyler Wells looks for a fourth straight win for the visiting Orioles; compiling a 2;57 ERA in June. He's coming off five shutout innings against Washington and allowed three or fewer runs in 13 consecutive starts.
Seattle counters with George Kirby, coming off six shutout innings of his own against Oakland. The former first-round pick has a quality start in four of his last five and a 3.12 ERA thus far in his rookie campaign.
Which pitcher and club will stay hot? In a seemingly even matchup, let's see how the odds shake out from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Orioles vs Mainers Prediction and Pick
This may be alarming, and I understand if you don't believe me, but the Orioles quietly have the ninth-best run differential in MLB this month and a 10-5 record in their last 15 games. They've won five consecutive starts by Tyler Wells and are a startling 9-4 in their last 13 as underdogs.
Baltimore just emerged unscathed from a gauntlet in their schedule too, surviving series against the White Sox, Rays, Blue Jays, and Nationals without losing a single one.
The Mariners are playing well too, winning five of six. While series wins over the Angels and Athletics aren't as dazzling, rookie stud George Kirby more than makes up for that. Kirby threw six shutout innings against the Orioles last month in a win and is settling into his own as a starter.
Seattle has four wins in Kirby's last five starts, and I'm confident I can trust his arm. The problem, though, lies in the Mariners' offense. Their lineup is prone to long droughts and scored two or fewer runs in nine of their last 15.
Because I trust Kirby and not Seattle's lineup, I see value on the under. It's 9-3-1 in the Mariners' previous 13 matchups and has hit in seven straight Orioles' games.
I show value on Baltimore as well. +140 is way too large a number for a team playing at a high level with a pitcher that's on a roll. Kirby gets the attention, but Wells' expected ERA (3.63) and opponent's expected batting average (.243) are even better than the Seattle rookie's of 3.83 and .259, respectively.
The Orioles have significant advantage in the bullpen and I think they pull out a close victory on the heels of that strength. Back Baltimore to push the Mariners to 3-8 in their last 11 as home favorites and enjoy what should be a fantastic pitcher's duel.
Pick: Orioles (+140) and Under 7.5 (-110)
