Orioles vs. Rays Prediction and Odds for Sunday, April 10 (Bring Out The Brooms)
By Joe Summers
The 2-0 Tampa Bay Rays hope to earn a series sweep to open their season as they host the 0-2 Baltimore Orioles today at 1:10 PM EST.
Tyler Wells takes the mound for Baltimore today as they try to get their first victory. He hasn't started a game since 2018 and has primarily been a reliever, so we should expect a bullpen game for the Orioles.
Meanwhile, two-time Cy Young winner Corey Kluber will pitch for the Rays. The 36-year old has battled injuries over the last couple of seasons but has been excellent when he has pitched, so Tampa Bay has high hopes for the talented veteran.
Can Baltimore avoid a third straight loss or will the Rays open the season with a convincing winning streak?

Orioles vs Rays Prediction and Pick
Tampa Bay practically invented the bullpen approach (using several relievers for short spurts instead of one starter) and now Baltimore will try to use their handiwork against them. After using five relievers in game one of the series, the Orioles only used one yesterday so they should have their full cabal of pitchers at their disposal.
But I think they're no match for Corey Kluber, regardless. Tampa Bay is 26-2 in their last 28 against Baltimore and are well-positioned to make it 27-2 today.
Wells was excellent in spring training, striking out 14 batters over 11 innings while only giving up two runs. But even if he pitches well, the Orioles will still need to use a number of relievers and all it takes is one screw-up and the Rays are rolling.
Kluber was far less impressive in spring training but I trust his full body of work. Tampa Bay has the pitching edge, hitting edge, and fielding edge. Throw in that they're at home and have a recent history of dominating Baltimore, and I love the Rays on the run line. Give me a sweep to start the year.
Pick: Rays -1.5 (+110)
