Orioles vs. Yankees Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, April 27 (Yankees Win Low-Scoring Contest)
By Joe Summers
After a 12-8 New York win in the first game of the series, the 11-6 Yankees hope for a fifth straight win as they host the 6-11 Baltimore Orioles today at 7:05 PM EST.
Jordan Montgomery will take the mound for the streaking Yankees and brings a 2.51 ERA over 14.1 innings into this contest. He's traditionally had a lot of success against Baltimore and held them to three hits and no runs in five innings already this season.
The Orioles will counter with Tyler Wells, who held New York scoreless in four innings in his second start but was roughed up in his other two starts of the campaign.
Can the Yankees stay hot behind Montgomery or will Baltimore pull off an upset on the road? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help find answers ahead of this AL East divisional matchup:

Orioles vs Yankees Prediction and Pick
Well, since I angrily declared I wouldn't trust the Yankees again after a 5-0 loss to these Orioles, New York has won six of seven and made me look like a fool. They've scored 22 runs in their last two games and get a chance at revenge against a pitcher that shut them out a couple of weeks ago.
Tyler Wells was marvelous against the Yankees in that April 16 start, but his struggles otherwise indicate New York should be able to make up for that goose egg today. Take a look at his pitching profile from Baseball Savant through three starts this season:
The fastball looks good, but otherwise that's not a pretty picture. Even still, Wells has historically had success against New York and the Yankees lineup isn't going to score 11 runs a game all year. Baltimore's bullpen has been strong in 2022 and if Wells can limit the damage to a few runs or less, the relievers should be able to keep the lineup at bay.
But Montgomery always seems to shut the Orioles down. He has a 2.85 ERA in 13 appearances against his divisional foe in his career and has allowed one run or fewer in five of his last seven starts against them.
New York's bullpen ranks sixth in ERA and I love the value on the under today. It's 4-12-1 in Baltimore's games this season, though we're getting a discount on the total because the over has hit in three straight. I think the Yankees are able to scratch some runs on the board but that the Orioles get shut down, so I'll be on the Yankees and the under in a low-scoring affair.
Pick: Yankees -1.5 (-125) and Under 8.0 (+100)
