What. A. Ride.

After significant movement in the NBA Draft No. 1 Pick market over the past week, the Orlando Magic selected Duke's Paolo Banchero No. 1 overall, shocking the betting world. After sitting at +2000 last week, Banchero and Auburn's Jabari Smith swapped odds as the favorite in this market over the past 24 hours. Ultimately, it was Duke's forward who got the nod.

Early Thursday morning, Banchero took a ton of money in the betting market, going against conventional wisdom since the NBA Draft combine that Smith would go first to Orlando.

Adrian Wojnarowski shockingly broke the news minutes before the pick was announced that Banchero was in the mix for the No. 1 pick. He closed a -5000 favorite.

Woj had originally reaffirmed the stance that Smith was likely going No. 1 on Thursday morning, leading him to become a massive favorite once again. But in a massive swing in the final moments, it was Banchero at the top of the Draft.

There were several swings leading up to around 7:45 PM EST in the betting market when Woj changed his stance.

Ultimately, the Magic were able to keep this under wraps long enough in order to fool some of the NBA's best news breakers, who were all in agreement that Smith was the pick. However, some bettors raked in serious profits as they didn't fall for Orlando's smokescreens and cashed on Banchero.
