The 21-41 Pacers have won two of three and covered the spread in three of their last four behind a new-look, high-powered offense. They'll try to stay hot when they take on the 14-47 Orlando Magic tonight at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Orlando beat Indiana 119-118 earlier this month and have covered the spread in two of their last three themselves, but can bettors trust them as a rare favorite or does value lie with the Pacers?

Here are the odds via WynnBET:

  • Orlando -1 (-110)

Pacers vs Magic Prediction and Pick

This is just the fifth time all season that Orlando is a favorite and with good reason. They're 28th in net rating on the year behind the 28th-ranked offense and 24th-ranked defense. The Magic have won just once in their past five but the underlying metrics do see some improvement. Behind the strong play of Wendell Carter Jr. and rookie Franz Wagner, their defense is 18th in net rating over the last 15 games. Baby steps.

The Pacers, meanwhile, have decided to eschew defense all together while Myles Turner still battles an injury and are just trying to outscore their opponents as much as possible. They're 29th in defensive rating in their last 15 but 15th in offensive rating. At just 2-8 over their last 10, the results aren't there for Indiana fans but I'm always thrilled when I see their name pop up on the schedule.

Why am I thrilled? Because this Pacers squad is an automatic over machine. The over is 13-2 in their last 15 and oddsmakers can't keep up with all the points. Indiana has played at the ninth-fastest pace in the league since the trade deadline and are content to jack up shots with their strong perimeter shooters and live with the consequences defensively.

This matchup is perfect for us over bettors. Orlando ranks first in pace of play over their last 15 and their tempo has increased every week for the last month, so they're trying to keep playing faster. This shift in mindset has helped the over go 8-4 over their previous dozen matchups and I expect we see another high-scoring affair tonight.

Until Myles Turner comes back, just keep riding the Indiana over train all the way to the bank.

Pick: Over 232 (-110)
