Pacers vs. Wizards prediction and odds for NBA Summer League

The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards made a trade at the 2023 NBA Draft to swap one pick with the Wizards landing French rising star Bilal Coulibaly and the Pacers securing Jarace Walker.
Those two will make their Summer League debut on Saturday, with Walker joining forces with rotation players on the Pacers in Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin. Oddsmakers have taken note of the Pacers strong roster, installing them as considerable favorites for a Summer League setting.

Pacers vs. Wizards prediction and pick
In my opinion, the Pacers bolster an elite roster with the depth to handle the Summer League circuit. While players like Mathurin and Nembhard may play limited minutes, the team has a top 10 pick in Walker and college basketball standouts like guard Isiah Wong and former National Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe.
The team should have little issue getting the better of a Wizards team that will lean on the likes of a a high upside prospect like Coulibaly who may not be an instant contributor and second year pro Johnny Davis, who struggled at the NBA level last season. The team doesn't have the frontcourt depth to battle down low with Walker or Tshiebwe, leaning on undrafted rookie Osun Osunniyi and second round pick Tristan Vukčević.
I typically lean towards underdogs in the Summer League setting, but I see too wide of a gap not to pounce on the Pacers, who have the guard play and overwhelming size to cover.
