Your move, Aaron Rodgers.

After months of speculation of whether the future Hall of Famer will return to Green Bay for the start of the 2022 season, the Green Bay Packers front office made their stance public during their annual meeting with shareholders Monday at Lambeau Field. Simply put, if Rodgers isn't playing in Green Bay this season, it won't be because they're trading him somewhere else.

"We have been working tirelessly with Aaron and his representatives to resolve the issues he raised this offseason and we remain hopeful for a positive resolution," said Packers GM Brian Gutekunst as he addressed the crowd.

Packers president Mark Murphy also weighed in on the ongoing situation surrounding their starting quarterback, adding, "We want him back, we're committed to him for 2021 and beyond. He's our leader and we're looking forward to winning another Super Bowl."

Will Aaron Rodgers play for the Packers in 2022?

Perhaps the tide is starting to turn in the ongoing saga, with not only Packers management addressing optimism for Rodgers' return, but also from the Green Bay quarterback as well.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Rodgers has mentioned to people close in his circle that he does, in fact, plan to play in Green Bay this year.

Rodgers had been vocal about his distain for the current Packers General Manager, whose job appears to be safe despite their longtime quarterback's wishes and frustrations.

"He's (Brian) just done an outstanding job. I have tremendous confidence in him and he is the man to lead us going forward" said Murphy.
