If the question is, "O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" The answer is at the top of the odds board.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs keeps steadily moving up the consensus odds board since the NFL Draft in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds. By the start of Training Camp, Doubs had gone from as long as +5000, or 50/1 odds, to +3300, or 33/1.

Over the next few weeks, reports of his rapport with quarterback Aaron Rodgers continued to trickle out to the media, as the 22-year old 4th Round pick from Nevada kept impressing when given his opportunity.

Now, Doubs has moved from the bottom half of the field, to the top 5 at many books around the country, prompting one book in particular to move him into uncharted territory.

One Sportsbook Has Big Concerns if Romeo Doubs Wins Rookie of the Year

Just a week ago, Doubs had gone from +5000 at WynnBET Sportsbook down to +2000. Yet when even more sharp money came in on him, trader Andy Morrissey and the rest of the team had a decision to make.

Do they keep the rising wide receiver in line with the rest of the consensus odds, or do they make a big move early?

Turns out, it was the latter.

"We took some bets on him at 20/1. He is our biggest liability for the market,” Morrissey exclusively told BetSided.

Here's where the latest Offensive Rookie of the Year odds stand from WynnBET:

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds

  • Romeo Doubs - Packers WR (+800)
  • George Pickens - Steelers WR (+850)
  • Kenny Pickett - Steelers QB (+900)
  • Breece Hall - Jets RB (+1000)
  • Chris Olave - Saints WR (+1000)
  • Drake London - Falcons WR (+1200)
  • Skyy Moore - Chiefs WR (+1200)
  • Kenneth Walker III - Seahawks RB (+1400)
  • Treylon Burks - Titans WR (+1500)
  • Garrett Wilson - Jets WR (+1800)
  • Jalen Tolbert - Cowboys WR (+1800)
  • Dameon Pierce - Titans RB (+2000)

As someone who invested early in the market with Doubs at +3300, it's exciting to see his movement reach this level. However, for anyone wanting to get in on the action, my advice would be to wait it out while the market remains inflated.

Right now, Doubs is fourth on the Packers' depth chart behind Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and Randall Cobb. He may make a substantial impact throughout the season, but it's doubtful that he'll see the same types of reps early on as some of the other candidates for the award.

Now that he's at the top of the pack, let the public chase after other names in the first portion of the season, while you get back on the Doubs train with a far better number down the road.
