The Green Bay Packers travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers in a rematch of the 2019 NFC Championship Game.

Green Bay was able to erase a shaky first half performance against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football to win easily, 35-17.

Green Bay pulled away late, forcing two turnovers and getting four rushing touchdowns from Aaron Jones, moving to 1-1 on the year.

Now they face a San Francisco team that beat the Philadelphia Eagles on the road last Sunday behind an outstanding defensive effort, limiting the Eagles to 11 points.

Can San Fran move to 3-0 on the year, or will the Packers hand them their first loss?

Let’s check out the odds, courtesy of WynnBET:

Packers vs. 49ers Prediction and Pick

I was not sold by the Packers Week 2 performance considering the Lions out-gained them on a yards per play basis.

The Green Bay defensive line is a serious concern and struggled to get pressure on Jared Goff in the first half.

The 49ers are not going to roll over as easily as the Lions did in the second half, outscored 21-0, and I’m counting on Kyle Shanahan to take advantage of a Packers defense that will be without Za’Darius Smith again.

The 49ers passing game is top five in success rate through two weeks, per SharpFootballStats, and have the offensive line to keep Jimmy Garoppolo protected even better than how Goff was in the first half. With time, Jimmy G can find his speedy receivers in space like Deebo Samuel to take advantage of a suspect Green Bay secondary.

On defense the Niners have posted a top five rank in defensive pass success rate as well. While Rodgers will pose one of the toughest threats in the league, the Niners ability to rush the passer can take advantage of a work in progress offensive line for the Packers. Outside of a 91 yard pass, the Eagles gained only 4.3 yards per play on the 49ers D.

Keep an eye on Trey Lance in this one too, the rookie may see more snaps against a softer Packers defense as Shanahan looks to utilize the run game more.

I’ll take the dynamic 49ers offense and their strong secondary to outduel Rodgers and co. on Sunday night.

Pick: 49ers -3.5, play to -4
