Week 6 was rough for fans of both the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders.

The Packers lost 27-10 to the Jets at Lambeau and the Commanders actually won, but nobody who watched that Thursday night football game felt like a winner. Now, it looks like we’re all going to be big winners because we don’t have to watch Carson Wentz this week, at least Washington fans can celebrate that.

Packers vs. Commanders Prediction and Pick

The Packers have serious offensive problems. The team put up only 10 points at home to a Jets defense that is middle of the pack in terms of yards per play allowed. Green Bay has a two-headed monster at running back to help open up the passing game for Aaron Rodgers, but could only get AJ Dillion to a team high 41 yards on the ground. Given the constraints at receiver, Rodgers shouldn't be passing 41 times.

Washington is one of the bottom teams in the league, but are we sure the Packers are a worthwhile bet on the road at over a field goal?

Their defense can’t stop the run, last in the NFL in success rate on rushing plays, and they couldn’t force Zach Wilson into turnovers. The Commanders just got Brian Robinson Jr. back and can look to play the field position game against a struggling Packers offense.

It feels so gross, because Washington has looked awful at times, but they have a lot of playmakers on offense, and now may be going to Taylor Heinicke is at quarterback after Carson Wentz hurt his finger last week. Could this be the jolt the offense needed that has enough skill to make the 3-3 Packers work?

I'll take the home underdog at over a field goal and make this Green Bay offense prove it can both stop the run and find the perfect offensive recipe with a host of new skill position players around Rodgers.

Pick: Commanders +5.5 (-110)
