The San Francisco Giants ran away from the Padres yesterday, beating them handedly 13-2.

After a night's rest, San Diego looks to rebound, get revenge and win this series. Before the loss, the Padres had won four games in a row. They putt their ace back on the mound today, so let's see if he can get them a win.

Padres vs. Giants Prediction and Pick

The Giants have been inconsistent to start the season, unable to win consecutive games. With a dominating win last night and an good pitcher stepping up to the mound, I'll fade the Giants today.

The Padres are rolling out Sean Manaea, who comes off a dominant performance against the Diamondbacks. He went 7 innings long with 7 strikeouts. If he can replicate that performance, the Padres' offense can give Manaea some run support.

San Diego has the second-most plate appearances in the majors (234), and is just outside the top 10 in batting average. The Padres are also first in the majors in the walks, so a few extra bases will help them get some extra runs on the board.

If the Giants can get some early hits on the board, they may be able to capitalize and start their first winning streak of the season. However, I think Manaea gets the better of San Francisco tonight.
