Panthers vs. Predators Prediction and Odds (Florida's Offense Unstoppable During Current Win Streak)
By Matt De Saro
The Nashville Predators play host to Eastern Conference-leading Florida Panthers tonight at Bridgestone Arena in a pivotal game for the Predators as they battle for a playoff berth. As things currently stand, Nashville is outside of the top three teams in the Central Division. They are six-points behind third-place St. Louis and time is running out to catch them. They would be a Wild Card team if the season ended today.
Florida, on the other hand, is one of three teams, along with the Avalanche and Hurricanes, to clinch a playoff berth in 2022. The Panthers are second in the NHL with 106 points and is 9-1-0 in their last ten games.
This begs the question. Why are the Panthers such short favorites against the Predators on the road?
Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Panthers vs. Predators Prediction and Pick
At 22-11, the Predators are a very good home team. But, at 20-9-6, the Panthers have had a lot of success on the road. Their offense is also leading the NHL with 298 goals in 71 games. That is a league-best average of 4.15 goals per game. They are the only team averaging over four goals per game with the next closest team, the Maple Leafs, at 3.83 GF/G.
And the goals just keep coming in Panthers’ games. And now just by Florida. In the last 10 games, the Panthers have only twice played a game that went under six goals. They have combined with their opponents to average eight goals per game in that span. Those games include two 7-6 wins in the last two weeks. One over the Devils and the other over the Maple Leafs. The Panthers scored 14 combined goals in those two games alone.
I think it’s clear what I am getting at here. The Panthers have gone over seven goals in four of their last six games. One of those games was a push. I am willing to bet this trend continues.
Pick: OVER 7 (-110)
