The Carolina Panthers have fired Matt Rhule, are down to starting a former XFL quarterback, and are hinting at a Sam Darnold return, and yet, they are still firmly in the playoff race in the NFC South. After a Thursday night win over Atlanta, the Panthers are 3-7, just two games back of Tampa Bay.

Baltimore is 6-3 and enjoyed their bye in Week 10 coming off of a 27-13 Monday night football win over New Orleans. The Ravens have added to their defense and now look like a real Super Bowl contender in the AFC.

Panthers vs. Ravens Prediction and Pick

The Panthers have been able to hang around with better teams since Steve Wilks took over as the head coach and PJ Walker at QB, but this feels like a classic Ravens dominant performance.

John Harbaugh’s team is coming off their bye week and they’re hoping to get a few key pieces back soon. Rashod Bateman and JK Dobbins are on IR, but more importantly, Mark Andrews missed last game with an injury. He is Lamar Jackson’s favorite weapon and without him, Jackson only completed 12 passes for 133 yards and James Proche and Kenyan Drake both had two grabs to lead the team. Eight other players caught a pass. That doesn’t feel like a sustainable offense, but when you have Lamar Jackson to take 11 carries for 82 yards it might be against a hapless opponent.

The Panthers relied on D’Onta Foreman heavily against Atlanta. He ran the ball 31 times for 130 yards and a touchdown. Outside of Foreman and a big rushing touchdown from Laviska Shenault Jr. Carolina did not have a lot of offense. With Roquan Smith fully acclimated to the Baltimore defense, I think they will be able to limit Foreman and force Walker or Darnold to beat them through the air. I just don’t think either guy can, and I see a big win coming for the Ravens.

In terms of betting I’ll grab the Ravens at 10.5 right now with most of the lines around 12, but I would like Baltimore to have a few more healthy weapons by week's end to bet them at a bigger number.

Pick: Ravens -10.5 (-110)
