Patrick Mahomes Listed as Favorite in This 2021 Prop After Finishing Fourth in 2020
When it comes to passing categories, it’s surprising to not see Patrick Mahomes’ name at the top spot. Mahomes is the consensus best quarterback in the league, but last year he was outside the top 3 in passing touchdowns.
Mahomes hasn’t led the league in touchdowns since 2018, when he threw for 50. This year should be different, though. Mahomes should be back on top of the touchdown leaderboard, especially with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce returning healthy.
WynnBET has released its odds for who will lead the NFL in passing touchdowns and Mahomes has the best odds to do so at +300. Behind Mahomes is Tom Brady (+550), Aaron Rodgers (+600), Josh Allen (+900) and Russell Wilson (+900).
Mahomes was fourth in passing touchdowns last season behind Rodgers, Wilson and Brady. Obviously, Mahomes leading the league in passing touchdowns isn’t proving anything, but it would be an interesting feat.
When WynnBET first released their odds for the passing title, Mahomes was second to Dak Prescott. Now, Mahomes is the overwhelming favorite at +275, while Prescott is +500.
The Kansas City Chiefs are returning a majority of their starters on offense and look to have one of the more potent offenses in the league. Kansas City is planning on using Clyde Edwards-Helaire in more passing situations and hoping that Mecole Hardman can step into the No. 2 receiver role.
While scoring is clearly the name of the game, this season looks to lend itself towards growth and continuity for the Chiefs. They remade their offensive line and will work to make sure everyone is on the same page come postseason time.
Mahomes is an easy player to bet on, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he makes good on his odds and wins the passing touchdown title.
