We were treated to an absurd weekend of football last week, and this weekend could be just as fun.

Patrick Mahomes welcomes another young phenom to the arena, this time squaring off with Joe Burrow. Mahomes and the Chiefs are once again playing an AFC Championship at home as a 7-point favorite at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Who will throw for more passing yards between the two stud quarterbacks?

Patrick Mahomes is back to being Patrick Mahomes

Here’s the thing — I’m never betting an under for Mahomes ever again, and I’m only partially kidding about that.

Entering last week’s game, the Buffalo Bills had the best passing defense in the entire NFL. No quarterback had thrown for more than two touchdowns in a game against them all season, and it was only done three times against them in the regular season. Mac Jones put up two touchdown passes in the Wild Card Round, but it was a route that saw the Buffalo Defense ease up a bit in the second half.

Then Mahomes happened. He carved them up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Mahomes hung 378 passing yards and 3 TDs on the Bills, while also leading the Chiefs in rushing yards with 69. Mahomes can essentially do whatever he wants against anybody. Unless his prop bet is set at 400 yards, I’m probably taking the over.

Joe Burrow has exploded this year

Burrow is an incredible story. His ascension has taken the Bengals from the basement to the penthouse in only two years, and it’s been incredible to watch. He has put up some monster performances this year, but has also been flat at times. In Week 15, Burrow threw for only 157 yards in a 15-10 win over the Denver Broncos. He also had a two week stretch between Week 11-12 where he threw for 148 yards in one game, followed by 190 in the next.

Since Week 12 though, Burrow has thrown for over 300 yards in five out of seven games, including an absurd 525 yard, 4 touchdown performance against the Baltimore Ravens. Yes, 525.

Both the Chiefs and the Bengals have given up plenty of passing yards this year, with the Bengals allowing the sixth-most and the Chiefs allowing the eighth-most.

There’s a great chance that both Mahomes and Burrow could each hit their passing props, which are set at 289.5 for Burrow and 293.5 for Mahomes on WynnBET. We should be in line for another huge game of offense.
