Patriots at Falcons Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 11
By Thomas Snodgrass
Thursday NIght Football for Week 11 will showcase two teams that went in opposite directions in Week 10: The New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.
The Patriots won big in Foxborough on Sunday, destroying the Cleveland Browns, 45-7. Quarterback Mac Jones was efficient as he could be leading New England’s offense, completing 19 of 23 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns.
The Patriots’ defense stepped up as well, allowing Cleveland to gather only 217 yards of total offense.
Atlanta was not as fortunate in Week 10, getting decimated by the Dallas Cowboys, 43-3. Quarterback Matt Ryan put on an embarrassing performance, completing only 9 of his 21 pass attempts for 117 yards and two interceptions. Head coach Arthur Smith put Ryan out of his misery, placing Josh Rosen under center late in the game.

Patriots vs. Falcons Prediction and Pick
The Patriots’ defense has been solid all season, allowing just 17.7 points per game, second-best in the NFL. The same can not be said of the Falcons, as they have allowed 29.2 points per game, 31st in the NFL.
Not only does New England have a better defense, their offense has been better too. Atlanta doesn’t help themselves on the offensive front by having little to no running game in its offense. The collection of Cordarrelle Patterson, Mike Davis and now Wayne Gallman is not getting the job done.
Besides the Falcons win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, their three other wins have come against the New York Giants, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins; every win coming with a margin of seven or less points. Atlanta is lucky to even be 4-5.
The Patriots should do just fine on a short week, and if the betting trends say that New England is undefeated on the road and Atlanta is completely defeated at home, I have no issue backing the Patriots on Thursday.
Pick: Patriots -5.5
