Patriots vs. Jets Prediction and Pick
The Jets beat the Broncos in Week 7, but it came with a cost. They lost arguably their two best offensive players for the season. Both running back Breece Hall and offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker went down with major injuries.
That's going to hurt their offense moving forward. Let's also remember that their offense wasn't exactly a top tier unit, despite their record. They rank 22nd in yards per play heading into this week.
Where their success truly comes from, is their defense. They rank sixth in opponent yards per play, and even more importantly, they're third in opponent yards per carry, keeping teams to 3.9 yards per rush. Considering the Patriots get a good chunk of their yards on the ground, the Jets defense should matchup well against them.
The move to make in this game, is to back both defenses to keep this a low-scoring affair. We'll re-evaluate the Jets next week when we see how they perform without Hall and Vera-Trucker.
